Gantry State Park will be having for the second year a free series of Shakespeare plays in the park with a breathtaking backdrop as the skyline of New York City.
Saturday August 2nd Two gentlemen of Verona, A slapstick comedy about love, friendship, betrayal, forgiveness and a dog. Young Proteus only has eyes for his hometown sweetheart, until he lays eyes on his best friend's love. This is a Zany late of romantic rivals with lighting changes in affection, a maiden in disguise, bandits, and one of Shakespeare's funniest clowns the play asks the questionn: is all really fair in love?
