Presidents’ Day, officially Washington’s Birthday,  in the United States, holiday (third Monday in February) popularly recognized as honouring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The day is sometimes understood as a celebration of the birthdays and lives of all U.S. presidents.

Hunters point library

City Council member Jimmy Van Bramer, speaking at the Friends of Gantry meeting between the State Park officials and the neighborhood, the council Member gave an update on the construction of the library. The library has bid out again. City Council said cosmetic changes have been made in the design to reduce the budget for the construction and they save around $5millions.  There is a hope that a lot of bids come as soon as possible but there is a possibility that there will be still some gap in funding and there will be more delays in breaking ground for the construction.
